Job summary

Mercy in Carthage, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health. You will use the nursing process to deliver patient care, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate care with other departments to ensure safety and quality.

The unit provides 32 beds for adult psychiatric care with dedicated women’s and men’s sides and medical support. Mercy offers day-one benefits, tuition assistance, relocation support, and a clinical ladder for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

Behavioral Health offers 32 beds within the Mercy Joplin main hospital. Our nurses are specially trained to care for the Adult Psych population. The unit offers a women’s side, a men’s side & medical care side.
