Job summary

Sandstone Care in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced nurse (RN or LPN) to join our medical team. You will provide direct nursing care, monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms, and coordinate with the broader clinical staff to ensure client safety and comfort.

You will document assessments in the EHR, manage medications, support mental health teams, and respond to emergencies with de-escalation and compassionate care. This is a role at a 24/7 facility requiring weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Active RN or LPN license in CO in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Comprehensive background check and motor vehicle records.
• Driver’s license and clean driving history required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including vital sign checks, symptom management, and withdrawal monitoring.
• Oversee urinalysis and breathalyzer tests and document results.
• Administer medications as prescribed and educate clients on proper usage.
• Support Behavioral/Mental Health Technicians and coordinate with physicians.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety protocols; respond to emergencies.
