Job summary

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC is seeking an Assistant Manager, Nursing (ANM) to support the Nurse Manager in supervising nursing services in a 26-bed medical unit.

The ANM will plan, provide, supervise and document care using the nursing process, contribute to quality outcomes, staff development, and a culture of excellence in patient and family-centered care. This full-time night position offers a structured leadership role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, or higher.
• Current unrestricted RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI) may be required based on unit specialty.
• Two to three years of clinical nursing experience. Leadership/charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager in the supervision and coordination of nursing services in a designated patient care area.
• Plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care using the nursing process per provider orders and policies.
• Promote quality outcomes, staff development, and a culture of excellence in patient- and family-centered care.
