Job summary

PACS Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in managing licensed and non-licensed staff delivering 24/7 patient care. The role involves planning, supervising, and improving nursing services, recruitment, training, evaluations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The ADON will oversee clinical operations, participate in staff meetings, and serve as a back-up for the DON, RN, and LVN staff.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred from an accredited school.
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• 3–5 years of nurse management, preferably in a long term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing services, policies and procedures.
• Collaborate in recruitment, hiring and training of nursing staff.
• Support employee evaluations and address disciplinary actions as needed.
• Provide back-up for the DON, RN and LVN staff and may deliver direct resident care.
• Oversee clinical operations, daily rounds and resident condition monitoring.
• Ensure resident safety and respect for residents at all times.
• Liaise with residents, families and physicians; attend staff meetings.
• Assist with design and evaluation of nursing systems to ensure consistent care delivery and resident rights.
