Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is seeking an RN Psychiatric Assessment Coordinator in Birmingham, AL, for full-time admissions/intake duties. The role involves coordinating admissions, reviewing labs for medical appropriateness, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to complete intake assessments.

The position requires a current Alabama RN license; licensure in LICSW/LMSW/LPC or similar is a plus. 8 business days orientation from 8a-4p is required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama required.
• Ability to provide orientation and continuing education with co-workers.
• Experience in intake or psychiatric settings (inpatient/outpatient) preferred.
• Strong communication skills via telephone or in person.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Admissions/Intake processes.
• Review labs to ensure medical appropriateness for admissions.
• Dispossition coordination with Physician and Unit Charge Nurse.
• Complete admission process including Intake assessments.
• Communicate with financial counselors regarding financial issues.
• Assist with nursing assessment review.

Responsibilities

RN Psychiatric Assessment Coordinator (RNAC)

Admissions/Intake

• FULLTIME; SHIFT ~ 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Current license as a RN in the State of Alabama required. Additional licensure as a LICSW, LMSW, LPC, ALC, etc. a plus.
• MUST HAVE availability to attend an 8- business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions.

The Psychiatic Assessment Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides nursing care to patients utilizing the admission process. The Assessment Nurse is primarily responsible for reviewing labs to ensure medical appropriateness for potential admissions. The RNAC disposition with the Physician and Unit Charge Nurse. The RNAC is also responsible for completing the admission process including Intake assessments, communicating with financial counselors regarding financial issues, and assisting with the nursing assessment review.

Hill Crest Behavioral Health is an acute care, 194 bed inpatient psychiatric facility located in Birmingham, AL, providing mental health services for adolescents and adults.

Qualifications

Assessment Nurse
