University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Ambulatory Surgery (Finance) to provide safe, individualized perioperative patient care and to assume overall responsibility for managing the operating room to which they are assigned. This 100% FTE position runs Monday through Friday with 10-hour shifts, no weekends, holidays, overnights or on-call; hours may vary by department needs and location at 1 S.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

• Utilize acquired knowledge and skills related to perioperative nursing care, procedures, and equipment in order to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Assume the overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which he/she is assigned.
• Be part of an outpatient OR setting that performs procedures on patients of all ages and for many types of surgeries, including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes), General, and some GYN. Plastic surgery cases such as breast augmentations, reductions, abdominoplasties, liposuctions, gender mastectomies, etc.

Work Experience

• 6 months of relevant clinical experience Required
• Recent relevant Operating Room experience Preferred - prefer candidates with 1 year of OR experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required
