Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient OR, Neurosurgery (Finance) with 90% FTE and 8/12 hour day/evening shifts, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities.

Join a multidisciplinary team to plan perioperative patient care, coordinate operating room activities to facilitate efficient case progression and turnover, and provide safe, competent care within policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 6 months of relevant clinical experience required
• Clinical operating room experience preferred
• Wisconsin Registered Nurse license upon hire required
• CPR certification upon hire required
• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan perioperative patient care with multidisciplinary team
• Coordinate operating room activities for efficient case progression and turnover
• Provide safe, competent patient and family care within policies and standards of care

• Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely manner.
• Communicate and coordinate operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
• Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient's level of complexity.
