Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse for Inpatient Perioperative care on the Weekender shift at University Hospital in Madison, WI. This 60% FTE 12-hour day shift covers Saturdays and Sundays, 6:40am–7:10pm, with holiday work if on weekend.

Responsibilities include coordinating OR activities, ensuring safe patient care per policies, and supporting perioperative patients.

Qualifications

• ADN required
• BSN preferred
• 6 months of PACU/ED/Surgical ICU/PACU/OR experience required
• 3 years of OR/PACU experience preferred

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Shift differentials: $4/hour evening, $10/hour weekender

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

• 6 months of recent independent PACU, Emergency Department, or Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, Operating Room, or Surgical IMC experience Required
• 3 years of recent Operating Room or PACU experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
