Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for a floating position with rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays. A minimum of 12 months nursing experience is required, with the ability to work across departments.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care, coordinating with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, and maintaining clinical documentation in patient records.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with vision, hearing, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan to the health care team.
• Develops and documents nursing care plans and objectives with input from patients and families.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care needs.
