Job summary

Avardis Health is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join the Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation leadership team. This RN-led role focuses on coaching clinical managers, ensuring high-quality resident care, and maintaining regulatory compliance in a dynamic long-term care setting.

The ADON will mentor staff, help set staffing plans, participate in policy development, and provide direct resident care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license to practice in the state.
• RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
• At least one (1) year of management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
• Actively participate in the development and achievement of nursing department goals, including staff development functions and educational programming.
• Assist in the implementation of and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient resident care in accordance with staffing plans and state-mandated requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring an accurate and effective documentation system.
• Provide direct resident care as needed, ensuring effective interaction with residents and families.
• Deliver innovative and responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and processes that improve outcomes.
