Job summary

Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center in Urbandale, IA is seeking an experienced RN to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ADON will support the Director of Nursing, oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality resident care.

Candidate should have an Iowa RN license, prior supervisory experience in long-term care, and strong leadership and communication skills to guide a clinical team and sustain regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa.
• Prior supervisory or management experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in managing nursing services and staff.
• Monitor care delivery for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance guidance to nursing team members.
• Assist with scheduling, staff development, and in-service education.
• Participate in quality assurance and infection control programs.
• Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
