Job summary

Arden Park Post Acute is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This full-time RN role works with the Director of Nursing to supervise daily nursing operations, mentor staff, and uphold high clinical standards.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of nursing management experience in long-term care, an active CA RN license, and strong leadership and communication skills. Competitive salary and a collaborative work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• 3–5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, and supervising daily nursing operations and nursing staff.
• Support recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and professional development of nursing personnel.
• Assist with employee performance management, staff concerns, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Oversee clinical operations, including monitoring resident conditions, conducting rounds, and ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and respect while ensuring residents receive appropriate care.
• Collaborate with residents, family members, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices.
• Conduct staff meetings and ongoing nursing in-services to support professional development and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
• Provide direct resident care and serve as backup for the DON and nursing staff when necessary.
