Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, seeks an Admissions Registered Nurse to join our team in Pinellas County with travel across the service area. The role covers hospitals and field settings (homes, ALF, LTC) and shifts are Mon-Thu 10am-8pm.

The Admissions RN assesses eligibility for Network of Care, completes admissions, and ensures regulatory compliance while supporting compassionate end-of-life care and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college.
• Minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Valid Florida RN license and CPR certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care.
• Complete admission process based on care program specifics.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and EMR billing codes.
• Coordinate visits across hospitals and field settings (homes, ALF, LTC).

Must receive a passing grade on a pre-employment computer literacy evaluation.For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
