Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking an Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hillsborough County team. The RN will travel across hospitals and field settings (homes, ALF, LTC) to assess eligibility and initiate admission processes with compassion and accuracy.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of related experience, and a valid Florida RN license plus a Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical school degree required; relevant experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care and advocate for optimal access to the right care.
• Complete admission processes based on care program specifics, guidelines, and patient needs.
• Engage with patients and families to provide compassionate, high-quality customer service and relationship-building.
• Support mission-driven care across hospital, home, ALF, and LTC settings as needed.
