Beth Israel Lahey Health in the Boston area is seeking an Admissions Facilitator in the Transfer Center. This office-based role focuses on patient flow, bed placement, and timely transfers across the system, with strong collaboration across nursing, case management, and physicians.

You will monitor census, coordinate admissions plans across EDs, PACUs, ICUs, and clinics, and help optimize bed capacity while ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• RN license required and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3–5 years’ related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• Broad view of system operations and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient flow and bed placement across hospital units.
• Coordinates admissions plans and transfers with EDs, PACUs, ICUs, and clinics.
• Conducts daily meetings and communicates bed status for transfer planning.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, case managers and leadership to facilitate admissions.
• Participates in quality improvement activities related to patient flow and throughput.
• Ensures adherence to Nursing Practice Guidelines and safe patient care.
