Job summary

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System is seeking an Administrative Supervisor to oversee nursing administration on the day shift. The role focuses on directing administrative activities, coordinating staffing, and ensuring smooth patient care operations.

The successful candidate will have strong clinical experience, be licensed as an RN in Tennessee, and possess CPR certification. Responsibilities include rounds, staff support, conflict resolution, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clinical experience.
• Experience in the teaching of nursing is desired.
• Current Tennessee RN license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews staffing each shift for each unit.
• Assists charge nurse to assure adequate staffing when there is a problem.
• Makes rounds and provides managerial presence.
• Assists new personnel and acts as a resource to the nursing staff.
• Assists with procedures when staff has difficulty.
• Acts as advocate to find resources such as supplies as needed.
• Listens to staff problems and effectively resolves conflict as necessary.
• Responds to safety codes when necessary.
• Provides information to nurse managers regarding quality and employee problems.
• Resolves patient/family complaints when necessary.Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
