Job summary

Roane Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is seeking an Administrative Supervisor RN to direct and coordinate administrative activities on the night shift. This full-time role supports nursing administration and collaborates with nursing staff and department heads to resolve issues and improve patient care.

The candidate will have at least 3 years of clinical experience, nursing education exposure, and a valid Tennessee RN license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clinical experience and experience in the teaching of nursing is desired.
• Must hold a Tennessee RN license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews staffing each shift for each unit.
• Assists charge nurse to assure adequate staffing when there is a problem.
• Makes rounds and provides managerial presence.
• Assists new personnel and acts as a resource to the nursing staff.
• Assists with procedures when staff has difficulty.
• Acts as advocate to find resources such as supplies as needed.
• Listens to staff problems and effectively resolves conflict as necessary.
• Responds to safety codes when necessary.
• Provides information to nurse managers regarding quality and employee problems.
• Resolves patient/family complaints when necessary.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Education:

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of clinical experience and experience in the teaching of nursing is desired.

Licensure Requirement:

Current Tennessee RN license. CPR required.
