Responsibilities

Supervise staff on the shift and coordinate activities with the department Manager.
Participate in hiring recommendations and performance appraisals.
Prepare documentation for disciplinary actions and recognize outstanding performance.
Assign work and coordinate relief for meals, breaks, and meetings.
Project staffing needs for upcoming shifts and adjust as needed.
Serve as clinical resource for staff and ensure nursing care quality.
Complete charge nurse duties and shift reports.
