Job summary

Kindred Hospital Arlington is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, and to develop care plans in coordination with patients, families and an interdisciplinary team.

You will participate in discharge planning, document care in the medical record, and communicate changes in patient status to physicians and colleagues to ensure safe and effective patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and condition.
• Basic computer skills and EMR documentation familiarity.
• Ability to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities, and work under stress.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with the care team and patients.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and care team.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient transitions of care.
• Document admissions, assessments, plans, and evaluations in the medical record.
• Supervise and delegate appropriately while ensuring patient safety.
