Job summary

Kindred Hospital Philadelphia, a 52-bed long-term acute care facility, seeks a registered nurse to plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff, and communicate changes in clinical status to physicians and the nursing supervisor.

Qualifications

• RN license required upon hire.
• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited program.
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English; good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans with family and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
• Administer medications and ensure accuracy with five rights.
• Provide teaching to patient and family; participate in rounds.
• Supervise and delegate tasks within scope of practice.
• Maintain documentation and interdepartmental collaboration.
