Job summary

Union Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN on-call evenings (7pm-7:30am) at Union Hospital Terre Haute. The role supports the 2WB observation unit and non-acute care needs, with a focus on safe transitions of care and high-quality patient interactions.

Requirements include ASN/BSN from an accredited program and Indiana RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification are expected. Tuition reimbursement and PTO are offered along with a strong work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program.
• Indiana RN license required.
• Previous RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the physician or manager to determine needs of patients.
• Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
• Contributes to plan of care for predefined patient problems.
• Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
• Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
• Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
• Assists the physician with special procedures.
