Job summary

Union Health in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7a-7:30p shift on the 2WB observation unit. The role collaborates with physicians to assess and plan care for short-stay patients with cardiac or medical concerns, performing routine assessments and supporting patient education and safety.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program.
Indiana RN license required.
BLS, ACLS and NIH certification required.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with the physician or manager to determine needs of patients.
Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
Contributes to plan of care for pre-defined patient problems.
Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
Assists the physician with special procedures.
