Job summary

The RN position in the 12A Telemetry Unit at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA offers high acuity post-surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant patients. This is a full-time role with 72 hours per two weeks and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform ongoing assessments, and educate patients and families while ensuring regulatory compliance. Active PA RN license and CPR are required, along with background clearances.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or licensure valid through eNLC.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances.
• Ability to care for high-acuity post-surgical patients in telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
• Provide safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Direct and manage the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assess learning needs of patient and family and provide education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
