Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the 12A Telemetry Unit. The unit provides high-acuity post-surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, vascular and transplant patients and holds the Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification (C4).

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, care planning, directing patient care with the team, and collaboration from admission to discharge. Education for patients and families is a key focus; union representation applies.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification.
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning.
• Provides safe, effective care for high-acuity cardiac/post-surgical patients.
• Directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
