Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, seeks a full-time RN for the 12A Telemetry unit. The unit provides high-acuity post-surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, vascular and transplant patients, with LVAD support and a C4 certification.

Responsibilities include nursing care planning, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge. Requires PA RN licensure or multi-state license via eNLC and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Provide care based on the nursing process for a designated patient population.
• Demonstrate clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Direct and manage patient care activities with the care team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team from admission through discharge.
• Educate patients and families based on age, culture, and learning needs.
