Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of the Highmark Health system, seeks a dedicated RN for the 8C Surgical/Trauma Unit. The role involves caring for post-trauma and general surgical patients on a telemetry unit with a 43-bed capacity, using evidence-based practices to promote recovery.

The position is full-time with a rotating schedule, weekends and holidays per policy, and requires PA RN licensure (or multi-state licensure via eNLC), Act 34/33/73 clearances and CPR certification. Union: Yes.

Qualifications

• Must have Act 34 clearance, Act 33 clearance, Act 73 FBI fingerprinting clearance.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Provides safe and effective care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
