Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 12A Telemetry unit in Pittsburgh. The unit provides high-acuity post-surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant patients in a 24-bed, single-occupancy setting with C4 certification.

The RN will deliver safe, effective care, lead the care team, and collaborate across disciplines from admission through discharge while educating patients and families per learning needs and cultural considerations.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure (or eNLC).
• CPR certification.
• Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 and FBI background clearances.
• Compliance with HIPAA and company privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Provides safe, effective care for adult patients per regulatory requirements.
• Directs and manages care delivery by the patient-care team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
