Job summary

The Laurels of Massillon is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead and teach our skilled nursing team. You will oversee nursing care, coordinate procedures, and support quality guest care on afternoon and midnight shifts with a flexible schedule.

You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, review procedures, contribute to care plans (MDS/CAA), and ensure correct medication administration. Current CPR and leadership in long-term care are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN Supervisor leadership and teaching ability
• Experience supervising RNs, LPNs and CNAs in long-term care
• Current CPR certification and nursing leadership preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RN, LPN, CNA and others
• Reviews and implements nursing procedures and systems
• Assesses and evaluates systems facilitating quality guest care
• Uses a systematic nursing-process approach for individualized care
• Contributes to guest assessments (MDS/CAA) and development of a plan of care
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions
• Understands and administers medications and treatments as needed

Responsibilities

Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others.

Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.

Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.

Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.

Contributes to the guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development and implementation of a plan of care.

Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.

Understands the rational for the use of medications and treatments and correctly administers as needed.

Qualifications

Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.

Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
