Job summary

Equiliem is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN in New Jersey to provide direct patient care for telemetry patients, interpret cardiac rhythms, and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and nursing teams.

Responsibilities include administering medications and IV therapies, conducting comprehensive assessments, educating patients and families, and responding effectively to emergencies while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years Telemetry RN experience required.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and critical thinking skills.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to telemetry patients in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Telemetry RN experience.
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• BSN preferred.
