Job summary

Equiliem seeks dedicated ICU RNs to join a 29-bed general ICU in a Level 2 trauma center for a 13-week contract in Idaho Falls.

Shift is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with 12-hour shifts three per week, 1:1/1:2 patient ratios, and high-acuity care including CRRT/ECMO capabilities; ACLS/BLS required.

Travelers float first to ED or step-down; on-call only when census drops; every other weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced skills in ventilator management and ABG interpretation.
• Experience titrating vasopressor/inotrope drips and monitoring hemodynamics.
• RN license and current ACLS/BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU care with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Perform procedures on unit: intubations, central lines, bronchs, bedside trach and peg tube placement.
• Ensure patient safety and documentation per Meditech system.

We are seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 29
• Length of Contract: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU)
• Unit Staffing Description: No CNAs, one tele
• Type of Equipment: Aleris pumps, Client monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, Primaflex CRRT, Cardiohelp ECMO
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 12-hour shifts a week, every other weekend
• Floating Policy: Travelers float first - ED, step down
• On Call Expectations: Only when census drops, otherwise no call
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Hospital Specifics

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. TNCC, NIH, ABLS all welcome.

Additional Information

Our unit is a 29-bed general ICU in a level 2 trauma center. We have a heart program with about 200 cases per year and offer CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO. The burn center opened in April 2019. The average years of experience in our ICU staff is 12.
