This is entry-level professional programmer/systems analyst work. Incumbents are responsible for design, development and implementation of automated systems, and the formulation/integration/formatting of software packages and related hardware to satisfy user needs. Work is performed under the close supervision of a higher-level Programmer/Systems Analyst or other designated supervisor and evaluated in terms of technical adequacy and accuracy. Upon the satisfactory completion of a probationary period, entry-level incumbents may be non-competitively promoted to the II full performance level after successfully completing the probationary period.

The incumbent must meet and maintain the training standards set forth by the Prince George’s County Police Department.
