Job summary

Innova Solutions, Salt Lake City-based, is seeking an Information Security Systems Engineer for a 12-month contract role. You will lead RMF activities, develop security artifacts, and coordinate with DoD stakeholders to ensure certification and accreditation of critical systems.

The ideal candidate holds a security clearance, works with RMF controls, NIST standards, and STIGs, and collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to sustain high-assurance defense systems.

Qualifications

• RMF lifecycle execution across categorization to continuous monitoring.
• Documentation experience (SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, Security Plans).
• Ability to interpret security controls from NIST SP 800-53 and related guidance.
• Experience with STIGs and baselines for DoD systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support RMF lifecycle activities.
• Develop and review RMF documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls.
• Interface with AOs and assessors to support authorization efforts.
• Track compliance status and remediation activities.
