Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) in San Diego seeks an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to implement and manage RMF-based security for classified IS at the San Diego facility. You will maintain ATOs, coordinate RMF actions, and lead ISSOs/SAs through the RMF cycle in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires an active Secret clearance, 8+ years IT experience (5+ in cleared facilities), and on-site work with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
• On-site San Diego, CA location.
• 8+ years IT experience; 5+ years as ISSM in a cleared facility.
• Strong knowledge of RMF, NISPOM, DAAG, and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage RMF security program for classified IS.
• Maintain ATOs and security documentation using RMF framework.
• Lead RMF processes with ISSOs and SAs across teams.
• Oversee ISCM planning, audits, and continuous monitoring.
• Coordinate with FSO, ITPSO, and government assessments.
• Support SDLC/DevSecOps and security training initiatives.
• Ensure weekly audit compliance and data protection.
• Prepare for and participate in DCSA assessments.
