Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineer to support a government-focused engineering team in Chantilly, VA. You will design, implement, document and sustain security solutions aligned with RMF, NIST SPs, CNSSI, JSIG and FIPS guidelines, collaborating with developers and vendors.

This onsite position requires up to 10% travel and offers comprehensive benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) matching and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with relevant experience.
• DoD 8140 IASAE Level 2 certification.
• Active TS/SCI with poly is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Apply RMF and NIST publications to write System Security Plans and related documentation.
• Implement and assess security controls across computing and networks.
• Support DevSecOps CI/CD with SAST and STIG compliance using Fortify/Coverity/GitLab.
• Define/manage security architectures for on-premises and cloud environments.
• Onsite work with up to 10% travel.
