Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes unit seeks a Trade Ops Risk and Valuation Lead in the West Chester, PA area (US). The role focuses on leading import trade operations, compliance controls, post-entry activity, and audit-ready operations, with potential remote options on a case-by-case basis.

The candidate will partner with internal stakeholders, brokers, and Finance to ensure accurate declarations, effective risk management, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic global environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
• Extensive experience in U.S. import operations, customs compliance, trade operations, or customs brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. CBP requirements, import entry processes, HTS classification, valuation, and post-entry activity.
• Experience leading government inquiries, audits, penalties, liquidated damages, post-entry corrections, and remediation.

Responsabilités

• Manage government interactions related to liquidated damages, penalties, and related inquiries.
• Lead reconciliation activities and support compliant financial reporting for import values, duties, and entry corrections.
• Perform internal risk assessments and audits, including entry reviews and compliance testing.
• Maintain oversight of the Risk Register and Matter Tracker, ensuring timely updates and closure of issues.
• Oversee customs valuation matters, ad hoc valuation reviews, and related documentation.
• Provide price information to Bureau of Labor Statistics for Import/Export Price Indexes.
• Support liability management for tax-related issues and import compliance in partnership with Tax, Finance, and Legal.
• Review post-entry review errors and approve related Post Summary Corrections.
• Provide support for Duty Drawback program as needed.
• Manage compliance for special regime entry types (Foreign Trade Zone, in-bond).
• Oversee manifest suppression processes and related controls.
• Monitor Harmonized Tariff Schedule revisions and communicate updates to analysts.
