Job Title: Vice President, Asset Managers Credit Risk

As a Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Asset Managers Credit Risk Team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of asset managers and funds, serving as the primary coverage for these credit relationships and reporting to the group leader. Your role involves managing client portfolios, overseeing transaction structures, conducting counterparty due diligence, and continuously monitoring exposures from various banking products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform client due diligence and financial analysis, summarizing findings in credit approval memos and reviews.
  2. Review and approve counterparty trading activity, recommend collateral requirements, and suggest structural enhancements.
  3. Provide credit expertise in structuring loans and derivative transactions.
  4. Set and communicate credit exposure appetite across trading products using internal methodologies.
  5. Oversee legal negotiations for traded products and traditional lending.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues across various departments, including Markets Trading, Structuring, Prime Brokerage, and Legal.
  7. Assess creditworthiness of clients, assign credit ratings, and maintain updated credit research.
  8. Stay informed on all aspects of credit relationships, including exposure, compliance, and potential opportunities.
  9. Lead credit due diligence for bank and bond transactions in M&A, LBOs, and refinancing activities.
  10. Supervise, review, and provide input on transaction analysis, seeking necessary approvals.
  11. Perform agent roles in syndicated transactions, including negotiations and documentation of amendments and waivers.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. At least 6 years of credit risk experience in financial services, especially leveraged, subscription, and structured financing.
  2. Knowledge of Asset Management, Financial Technology, and Financial Institutions (FIG) industries.
  3. Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of accounting and corporate finance.
  4. Familiarity with leveraged finance underwriting and credit agreements.
  5. Understanding of financial products and market dynamics.
  6. Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  7. Ability to perform well under pressure in a team environment.
