About The Opportunity
A private equity-backed medical device organization is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as Vice President of Strategic Integration & Program Leadership. This executive role will be pivotal in driving the separation and integration of newly acquired product lines through M&A. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in carve-outs, complex program management, and cross-functional leadership in high-growth or transformational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Separation & Integration Leadership
- Develop and lead comprehensive integration plans including Day 1 readiness, TSA exits, and full standalone operations.
- Drive prioritization of functional investments and proactively manage risk across the carve-out program.
- Lead TSA (Transition Services Agreement) negotiation and governance; establish exit strategies and internal capabilities to support post-TSA operations.
- Ensure continuity of operations through closing and Day 1 by coordinating across all functions and stakeholders.
Transformation Program Management
- Plan and execute large-scale, high-impact transformation initiatives with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead the overall program governance structure, steering committee updates, and progress reporting.
- Align and coordinate key workstreams including commercial, supply chain, IT, and finance.
Stakeholder and Change Management
- Influence, align, and manage expectations across internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, bringing structured problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Communicate clearly and proactively, crafting content that supports strategic storytelling and change enablement.
Operational Optimization
- Oversee transition to fully standalone operations post-close.
- Deliver cost synergy targets and ensure alignment with financial business cases.
- Drive hiring, capability building, and documentation of integration best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, business transformation, or corporate development.
- Demonstrated success managing carve-outs, including TSA negotiation and exit.
- Expertise in navigating complex operational separation (especially IT, supply chain, and shared services).
- Proven leadership within high-growth, PE-backed, or transformation-focused environments.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- High EQ and the ability to lead through ambiguity and influence without authority.
