Job summary

The City of Fountain Valley is seeking a detail-oriented Management Specialist to support its Risk Management Program, focusing on workers' compensation, liability, contract and insurance review, and cost recovery. You will coordinate activities, maintain records, track deadlines, and provide responsive service to City departments and the public.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating administrative processes and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to monitor deadlines and ensure documentation is complete.
• Experience in risk management or government operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive Cost Recovery Efforts: coordinate and track recovery of costs from third‑party damage to City property; maintain documentation and communicate with internal/external parties.
• Champion Safety and Training: coordinate training schedules, track participation, maintain records, support OSHA compliance.
• Keep Compliance on Track: monitor regulatory updates, maintain records, track deadlines, ensure timely documentation.
• Support Contract and Insurance Administration: monitor contract requirements, insurance docs, expiration dates; follow up on items.
• Strengthen Risk Management Operations: maintain intranet page, organize program information, support inspections, keep policies accessible.
• Provide Responsive Customer Service: act as point of contact for employees, departments, vendors, and public; provide timely information and process payments.
• Make the Details Count: track assignments, coordinate priorities, identify items needing attention, improve admin processes.
