Job summary

Amtrak, a national passenger railroad, is seeking a Lead Project Controls Specialist – Risk to implement risk management across capital delivery projects. You will support development of risk procedures, run risk workshops with cross-functional teams, and help build dashboards that reflect current risk posture.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, with strong skills in analytics, communication, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience.
• At least 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains department risk governance policies and procedures.
• Leads risk workshops and documents lessons learned for knowledge sharing.
• Acts as risk manager on medium to high complexity projects.
• Evaluates risks and develops mitigation plans and contingencies.
• Develops and maintains risk control tools and workflows.
• Coordinates with Project Controls staff to obtain required data.
• Develops dashboards and reports on risk and performance indicators.
