Job summary

TUV SUD America is seeking a recent engineering graduate to join our GRC team in the Detroit area as a risk engineer. You will support risk engineering services focused on production, mechanical, and electrical equipment to help clients reduce equipment breakdown risks.

You will participate in site inspections, gain on-the-job mentoring, and develop your technical knowledge through structured training and reporting. Travel is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• Recent graduates may start within 3–4 weeks; May 2027 graduates can begin in June 2027.
• Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems and how they operate.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting.
• Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and apply sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support risk engineering services focused on production equipment to reduce breakdown risks.
• Participate in site inspections and loss control surveys with consultants.
• Develop technical knowledge through mentoring and structured training.
• Prepare clear technical reports using established formats and guidelines.
• Build professional client relationships on site with courtesy and reliability.
• Support account service teams in client meetings and presentations.
• Contribute to service quality, client satisfaction, and agreed timelines.
