Job summary

TUV SUD America, Inc. is seeking a recent graduates or early-career engineer to join our GRC team as a risk engineer. You will support risk engineering services on industrial equipment and participate in site inspections and client meetings.

Working in a global, safety-focused environment, you will develop technical knowledge through mentoring, training, and hands-on projects, with significant travel and opportunities for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field completed prior to employment start date.
  • We welcome applications from recent graduates available to start within 3-4 weeks, as well as students expected to graduate in May 2027 who can begin full-time employment in June 2027
  • Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems and how they operate
  • Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and apply sound judgment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good planning and time management skills, especially when coordinating travel
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in site inspections and loss control surveys alongside experienced consultants

  • Prepare clear, accurate technical reports using established formats and guidelines
  • Build professional relationships with clients by acting in a courteous and reliable manner on site
  • Support account service teams, including participation in client meetings and presentations

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary in the range of $68,000 - $74,000 USD annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and location

Additional Information
  • Travel Requirement: This role requires approximately 50-70% domestic travel, with occasional international travel depending on business needs
  • Work Environment: Work is performed at industrial client sites and may involve climbing ladders, navigating tight spaces, and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Employment Type: Full-time, exempt position
  • Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
