Job Description

AXA XL Risk Consulting, a division of AXA XL Insurance, supports underwriters and clients in assessing and managing risks across various industries. With a global network of over 300 risk consultants in more than 25 countries, we serve more than 2,000 clients worldwide.

This position involves providing risk consulting services for large property loss control and natural hazards evaluation in the North Central region. The role requires applying engineering expertise to identify and mitigate property fire and Nat Cat risk exposures across diverse projects.

Responsibilities

1. Review commercial property protection measures, including fire protection and water supply analysis.
2. Conduct onsite visits to assess property and natural hazard exposures, and develop detailed reports with recommendations.
3. Analyze building construction, fire protection features, and process operations.
4. Collaborate with AXA XL’s network of specialized engineers to serve clients effectively.
5. Build credibility and customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk engineering services.
6. Service the North Central Region, supporting both insured and non-insured clients. Travel is expected to be 20-25%.

Qualifications

• Experience with large property sites.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements.
• Willingness to learn fire protection principles if not already experienced.
• Engineering or Science undergraduate degree; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Ability to assess and advise on property risks across various projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage remote work effectively.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate across functions.
• Valid driver’s license; residing within North Central Region.
