Job Description

We operate with a distributed team of 1000+ colleagues in 70+ countries, with few office-based roles. Teams meet a few times annually in various global locations to align on strategy and execution.

We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our presence in industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. We seek candidates who are Linux experts, proficient in distribution packaging, software design, system debugging, and embedded software development methodologies. This role involves engaging with customers, providing technical solutions, and contributing to project delivery and product development.

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux knowledge, coding and scripting skills, experience with low-level Linux boot processes, BIOS, EFI, Secure Boot, firmware, and OS distribution packaging. They should thrive in fast-paced, diverse client engagements and be committed team players dedicated to customer success.

Responsibilities
  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain technologies
  • Propose solutions to prospective clients
  • Participate in delivering Embedded Linux projects
  • Convey market requirements internally and contribute to solution development
  • Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Extensive Linux experience (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
  • Experience with distribution/packaging (deb, rpm)
  • Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot)
  • Proficiency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Professional English communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Results-oriented, able to multitask
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • For Japan/Korea, proficiency in local language

  • Experience with customer engagements
