Job Title: Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer III

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer III to support offshore project development, with a focus on subsea systems, safety studies, and loss prevention. The role combines technical assurance responsibilities with facilitation of HAZOPs, risk studies, and compliance reviews. Ideal candidates will bring extensive EHS experience, offshore/subsea exposure, and a strong understanding of consequence modeling and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate technical safety studies and assessments (e.g., HAZOPs, LOPAs) for offshore/subsea projects
• Develop and review study charters, execute reviews, and generate technical reports
• Interface with EPC contractors and internal teams to ensure timely execution of assessments and resolution of action items
• Support compliance reviews of engineering designs to meet company and industry safety standards
• Provide discipline engineering assurance and evaluate contractor deliverables
• Monitor and steward Action Resolution Plans and risk mitigations through closure
• Ensure alignment with project goals, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures
• Communicate safety engineering activities, progress, and risks effectively across stakeholder.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of experience in EHS, Process Safety, or Loss Prevention roles in the oil & gas industry
• Offshore/subsea project experience required
• Demonstrated HAZOP (Guideword) facilitation experience
• Proficiency in consequence modeling tools (e.g., DNV PHAST)
• Strong knowledge of discipline design codes, safety standards, and regulations
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage shifting priorities under tight deadlines
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Microsoft Office proficient
