Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Risk Advisory Services Principal to lead a national practice focused on risk assessment, governance, internal audit, IT and cybersecurity. This role offers ownership opportunities and visibility with healthcare, life sciences or technology clients.

You will guide engagements, develop new business, manage a team, and deploy best practices across risk, ERM and SOX work to help clients reduce risk and improve controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related program.
• CPA, CIA, or equivalent designation.
• 12+ years' experience in risk advisory, internal/external audit, process reengineering, or internal controls.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience building and growing a risk advisory practice; client development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with a focus on exceptional client service and growth.
• Translate firm vision into actionable objectives and monitor progress.
• Develop sales and marketing plans, pursue expansion within existing clients and new clients, and participate in proposals.
• Coordinate resources to deliver high-quality services to clients.
• Provide training and development opportunities and recognize performance.
• Oversee profitability including utilization and timely fee collection.
• Engage with client executives to understand their business and manage financial and operational risk.
• Develop deep knowledge of clients' industries and interact directly with clients on engagements.
• Offer strategic business advice and help implement new processes and controls to address risks.
• Assess and minimize risk across ERM and SOX frameworks, reviewing controls and communicating findings.
• Lead new business development and produce executive summaries and reports for clients.
• Present effectively to internal and external audiences.
