Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, seeks a senior Risk Advisory leader to guide engagements, strategize actions, and ensure exceptional client service across sectors. You will oversee risk assessments, mentor teams, and drive business development while coordinating with executives to strengthen controls and profitability.

The role requires deep expertise in risk advisory, strong leadership, and willingness to travel for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in risk advisory, internal/external audit, or related fields.
• Seven (7) or more years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
• CPA or CIA designation required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related program.
• Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management and strategic direction to deliver exceptional client service and foster associates’ growth.
• Translate firm vision and strategy into actionable business plans, set objectives, and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop sales and marketing plans, pursue new client opportunities, and participate in proposals.
• Coordinate firm resources to ensure optimal service delivery and provide executive summaries and final reports to clients.
• Develop training and development opportunities for team members, offer timely feedback, and recognize achievements.
• Oversee the profitability of the practice, managing utilization, service rates, and fee collection.
• Work closely with client executives to understand their businesses, identify and manage risks, and develop risk-management strategies.
• Lead initiatives in operational audit, enterprise risk management (ERM), and SOX compliance, reviewing processes and recommending improvements.
• Champion new business development, including sourcing, pursuing, and winning risk-advisory engagements.
