Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Managing Director to lead the Risk Advisory practice serving public sector and other clients. You will provide strategic direction, manage engagements, and drive growth with a focus on governance, IT risk, cybersecurity, and SOX controls.

You will mentor teams, develop client relationships, win new business, and ensure high-quality service delivery across engagements. Travel as needed to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or related program.
• CPA or CIA designation(s) required.
• Ten or more years in risk advisory, internal/external audit, or related areas; industry experience preferred.
• Five or more years of supervisory experience mentoring associates.
• Proven record building a Risk Advisory practice, teams, and client base.
• Proven track record in new business development.
• Ability to lead, provide client service, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for risk advisory with focus on client service and growth.
• Translate firm vision into actionable business plans and objectives.
• Lead proposals and pursue expansion of services within existing clients and new clients.
• Coordinate resources to ensure best products and services for clients.
• Mentor staff with training and development opportunities.
• Ensure profitability through effective utilization and timely fee collection.
• Interact with client executives to identify and manage financial and operational risks.
