Job summary

Interstates is seeking a Telecomm Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager, field crews, and jobsite leadership in coordinating limited-energy systems and project controls on multi-site electrical/automation projects. You’ll help keep projects organized, on track, and aligned with client expectations while facing tough challenges.

The role emphasizes coaching, training, and development with a culture of integrity, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Construction Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
• Equivalent construction, project coordination, or limited-energy experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and jobsite leadership in managerial and leadership functions on the project.
• Coordinate limited-energy work including systems such as fire alarm, security, access control, communications, data, and other low-voltage systems.
• Run project control systems for the project team.
• Create and update CPM schedules; communicate status.
• Lead Last Planner/White Board crew scheduling.
• Prepare RFI's, submittals, meeting minutes, and on-site communications.
• Act as a project analyst to assess controls information and support problem solving.
• Provide estimating take-offs and other support for analysis and change orders.
• Attend client meetings onsite and collaborate with trade contractors.
• Prepare information for monthly project reviews.
• Assist in procurement and expediting of materials and subcontracts.
• Promote Interstates safety culture daily.
