Job summary

Henderson Scott US seeks a Junior Project Manager for ground-up multifamily residential construction in Brooklyn, NY. You will support Project Managers and Superintendents, help manage schedules, budgets, and coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The role provides exposure to preconstruction planning, procurement, on-site coordination, and project closeout, offering growth within a growing team and opportunities to develop leadership and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in structural or residential construction project management.
• Proficiency with Windows-based apps and construction PM software; Procore preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day on-site activities.
• Review drawings, specs, proposals, and site conditions for scheduling and budgeting.
• Coordinate design and construction with architects, engineers, and teams.
• Oversee procurement and material lead times with subcontractors.
• Assist with preconstruction bidding, startup, buyout, and budgeting.
• Manage purchase orders, subcontracts, permits, invoices, and cost updates.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Ensure contract compliance with submittals and subcontract requirements.
• Support constructability reviews and resolve coordination issues.
