Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to support GovCloud programs. You will coordinate information flows, assist in budgets, RFPs, and owner reporting while learning the fundamentals of project leadership.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule integrity, and collaboration with field teams and subcontractors. A background in commercial construction and proficiency with ProCore, Adobe, and Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 2-5 years' experience in commercial construction with a general contractor.
• Experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in project meetings, milestones, and owner reports.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
• Update schedules and ensure quality control.
• Support closeout activities and coordination with site operations.
